September is the new October
The first week of September should be really good. We still have dates…really, check your calendar on this one.
Pretty much our entire fall coho and King season is getting compressed into the month of September. September has always been great, and with a river that has been closed all summer opening on September 1 things should be a lot of fun.
So plan on coming and dry fly fishing for cutthroat, coho, steelhead, and especially coho jacks. I know that sounds weird, but jacks up to about a pound really eat drys well.
We will also be stripping flies for Coho. Oh yea, and of course swinging flies for summer steelhead, and hey, you want to hike into some amazing water? We can do that.
Sight casting at ocean bright kings? Well, not every day, but every season we spend a few days of the month chucking flies at some of the biggest most aggressive kings of the year.
A great time to be out on the Peninsula, enjoying lots of water to yourself and some beautiful weather.
Come see us.
