    feakin giant rooster from the beach season

    Why aren’t we doing this?
    This is Lance, our host while we were down in Baja, pictured here with a nice rooster he got from the beach today. He lost two larger ones. The feakin giant rooster from the beach season is just cranking up, I want to go.
    Here we are waiting for a bit of rain, or some snowmelt, anything to bring the rivers up a foot…

    Spring Chinook are here

    Here are some springers exactly like the ones we didn’t catch today. Had my fist day springer fishing today, and although we found some springers and got some bites, we failed conclusively to land any. We also found a few steelhead and did get one of those to the net. I will be steelhead fishing tomorrow and then back to the springers on sunday.

    Hey,

    I want to go springer fishing right now! I have Thursday and Friday open, anyone
    want to go gear fishing for springers?
    Give me a call, I really want to go and if you let me fish a little I

    First,

    Thank you everyone for coming out this winter, yes, this
    week you will get all the pictures I did not send, we will work on booking all
    the dates we talked about and you will probably receive a news letter.

    Did you lose this on the upper Bogie? Its kind of embarrassing that it could be hard to catch a fish that would eat something like this.

    Yep, the fishing is still good, the weather is nice, and
    there is no one here. Yesterday we
    landed 5 nice steelhead and saw 2 boats.

    Gully Washer, deluge, cats and dogs,

    It’s raining pretty hard, and despite the fact that a whole
    lot of steelhead are still coming up the rivers I am declaring winter steelhead
    season officially over. It’s now
    almost spring Chinook, soon to be summer run steelhead season, which is the
    time of year you float down the river and catch, well, whatever eats your fly.

    The return of spring steelhead this year was great in a quite, like it used to be way,
    the lower rivers had a real feeling of being alive with fish.
