Hey January!!!!

That’s right, January is, as you know, one of the top 11 (in a tie with November) fishing months of the year on the Olympic Peninsula.

I will have some days off in January, and I thought it is time to schedule the first spey fishing workshops in a long time.

We will meet early and get on the river on a nice piece of spey water. We will discuss and demonstrate gear and tactics, flies, tips, presentation, casting, hooking and fighting fish.

I will bring a pile of rods and lines to try.

I will also have a list of cool spots for you to spend your winter spey days fishing on your own.

There are three spots available for this workshop Saturday January 6

cost is $200.00 per guest.

Yep, Ill bring lunch and snacks

quick, email [email protected] subject line “workshop”

May? May!

Yep, May, currently I am holding the first 4 days of May open for Spey fishing/ swinging for Spring chinook/ spring steelhead.

May is a great time to get out, enjoy the spring and get some cool grabs. Spring offers a completely different feel to the river, different flies and spots, a mix of trout, late steel head, spring Chinook and often jacks.

Its also a great way to get yourself started in the right direction to keep on your summer fishing.

If you want to spend some time chatting about getting your summer fishing plans together we could work that in also.

Chinook eat flies, even springers. Come try

June? June!

Its not so far away, long days, maybe even sunshine and the rain coat coming off. Some cool rivers opening up, giving us a look at all the stuff we forgot about at the end of March.

A great time to swing up a steelhead or spring or summer chinook.

Check out these dates. June 1,4,6, 7, 11, 12,13.

Emial [email protected] for booking or details

So, this is a December hatchery steel head, if you think you are the type of person who would enjoy catching these, email [email protected]
