Summer steelhead Workshop Forks
2010 summer steelhead Workshop Forks Saturday June 19th
Tom with one from last summer
As always the goal of the day will be to get folks comfortable with the spots techniques and flies that will keep them on O.P. summer steelhead.
We start at my house in Forks at 7:30 am with coffee and a big breakfast. After breakfast I will hand out the map kits and we can spend an hour or so discussing spots and directions’, making sure everyone has a good grip on how to find the best water without getting too lost.
After breakfast we will round up an obscene collection of spey rods, lines, and summer run flies and head for the river to discuss gear and presentations. Break for a giant bank side lunch, head to a new spot and continue until about three. Break and meet back at my house at 6 for a re-cap of everything and a big dinner.
At the end of the evening you will have maps to a bunch of consistent summer steelhead spots, a list of must have summer steelhead flies and an idea of where when and how to use them. You will have had a chance to cast a variety of one and two handed spey and switch rods, opportunity to try out a huge batch of different lines on your own rod and been given a truck load of casting and presentation tips.
Saturday June 19th.
Cost 135.00 per guest
Four guests Max.

THIS IS NOT A GUIDED TRIP! It’s an instructional day, if we land a steelhead it will be an accident.
If your chief goal is to hook some steelhead, book a guided day of fishing.
