Great news on the Hoh, open dates
Days open? Yep.
Catching fish? Yep.
Summer steelhead, yep, the trout are back from……where ever they were. The summer salmon seem to have given way seamlessly to fall coho and early kings. Right now jack kings abound…everywhere.
Maybe the Quillayute will open soon? Plenty of fish there now hungry to eat my flies.

Great news on the Hoh.
The state will keep it selective gear and closed to king retention until October 1.
That will give some more fish a chance to get upriver.
In the end, they want so badly to eat it, you just have to give them time
