Yep, Spring Chinook

Catching spring chinook on a fly is crazy hard, and Sol Duc spring chinook seem to be more stubborn than most.

So, we gear fish sometimes…….but not all the time.

George came out and fished with Ryan,

Turns out there are still a few chrome steelhead around

OK, this is just overkill.

OK, now your just rubbing it in

If you want to catch springers on gear you have to …..get up very early.  Be patient.

If you want to catch them on a fly you have to do the same stuff, plus try really hard, and get a bit lucky.  I am game if you are.  I would go every day.

I would like to come this late spring and fish for a couple days with a friend for spring Chinook with a fly rod. We’re both experienced casters, is there much chance of success?
