What are you doing?

No really, what the hell!  Tomorrow canceled on the eve of the most epic possibilities of the spring.  9th and 10th canceled, so I know have pretty much all of next week open.
It’s not like the fishing is good or anything, just swinging a steelhead or two,… or more, a day.  Weather is warm, rivers empty.

Of course every one is busy, we all have our problems, I for instance can’t figure out how to keep chrome bright spring Chinook from looking overexposed on sunny days.

Joe got this springer on a one hand eight weight on a fast stripped fly fished on a dry line

James getting his old fashioned string winder unwound

Thanks James, again.

So, yes you want to go, but you don’t have the cash-i-ola to hire a fish guide.  O.K., I probably don’t have the bread to hire a fishing guide right now either.  So here is what you do; grab your favorite 13 ft. 7 weight, throw on a skagit line and 9 feet of T-15, tie a nice big flashy fly onto three feet of 15 pound tippet and head for the Lower Sol Duc Or Hoh, just keep chucking it, something cool will probably eat it!
Have fun
