Joe casts at a monster summer steelhead

Old school Summer fishing on the O.P. workshop

Steelhead, obviously, but also kings, resident rainbow, sea run cutthroat, summer Coho, sockeye and …saltwater and estuary mysteries.

Shit, I want to go fishing right now.

Oh yes, I will have some maps, a ton of flies, some spey and switch rods to cast, a bag of spey lines to sort through and a boat load of techniques to try out.

And a huge heap of Bar-B-Q.

You need to bring a good map (delorme), a note book, waders, wading shoes, polarized glasses, sunscreen, rain gear, your six favorite fly rods some fly’s assorted leader tippet,

nippers, camera,???

We will start at 8:30 am in Forks at our house for coffee, snacks and maps, and then move out to the river for messing with gear, some fishing, and ridiculously long discussions about techniques, oh, and Bar-B-Q.

Workshop fills at 4 guests

Saturday June 18th

Cost $150.00

Kalama workshop

As many of you know this is my favorite steelhead home away from home, comfortable, warm and super fishy.

 Myron with a Kalama Chromer

The day will start with a long riverside discussion of river access, run timing, flies, lines, and techniques.  I will have a good river map to hand out and we can spend a while over coffee nit picking the details.

Then we will head up river to demonstrate a bunch of tricks and get you better acquainted with this awesome creek.

After lunch the remainder of the days will consist of hours of hands on demonstration and the inevitable non-stop Q and A

I will have a nice selection of one and two handed rods for you to try as well tons of demo lines for your spey rods .

Saturday June 25th

8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Workshop fills at 5 guests,

Cost $140.00

I will be guiding on the Kalama from Saturday June 25th until Friday the 1st
