Sorry,

Been way to long since I posted, we moved into (more or less)our new house down by the lower Duc, the rivers have been high, but I have been fishing a bit.
See, look at the pictures.

Native chromer

I have actually been having pretty good success getting some of these early native steelhead to suck up swung flies.  I think that this time of year a good hard shot of high water can really be an asset to the spey fishing.

I have also come to the conclusion that I really like miracle braid as a winter time running line.  It’s for sure worth a try, it casts well mends great but what is really cool is that when you are fishing a heavy tip you can definitely feel a whole bunch more of what your fly is doing, I feel I get more hook ups with it.  Another thing I saw this week for the first time was an echo reel.  I would say that it looks a bit, well, cheap.  But it feels great, and if echo makes it, I am guessing it works great, I will order two today and I should know by the end of the season if they suck.  There it is, another free endorsement for  Rajeff products.  Now if they would just get airflow off their asses and get me some clear floating and sinking skagit heads I would be a truly happy man.
