Open Monday, Open boat Tuesday Wednesday

Bill Boston has an open seat on Monday and an open boat on Tuesday, I think Larry Ford may still be open Wednesday.  Give me a call if you want to put something together.

Solomon with a decent fish

Unsolicited praise contest!!!

Donna,
( the boss of this blog and website) says I need one of those pages on
the site where people say how great my guide service is, so here is the
deal, send me a few sentences about how great, fun, educational, or
otherwise worthwhile Raincoast Guides service is. The trick will be
making me sound awesome, while still some how being believable.  A daunting task to be sure.  Your quote may be posted on the site, I will have Donna look through them and then pick a winner.  She will probably give extra points for using the words fly fishing, steelhead and Olympic Peninsula.  The winner will receive a free guided trip from raincoast guide service.

  • I notice a lot of fish in the pics are taken on with single hand fly rods fished with an indicator. Any chance of seeing the fly used to take these fish. The post you did on how to tie a quick sinking marabou streamer was great. Any chance you could do a post on the nymphs you use under the indicator for winter steelhead.

Love the blog, Thanks for sharing

  • Kelly,
Thanks for the awesome comment.  Did you find me through Gary's blog?  I am right in the thick of things now as far as the fishing is concerned but yes, by all means I will do a little post on steelhead nymphs, um, yarn.  I did a really long post a while back about nymphing in general but I am afraid my archive system probably makes it hard to find.  Another thing to keep me busy.  Thanks again and yes, I will get it done.

  • Jim Kerr of Raincoast Olympic Peninsula Steelhead Guiding service is without a doubt the fishiest dude in North America. Such a gnarly angler is he that I named my father, Jim, after him.

For real though there's no one I'd rather spend a day on the boat with. Always educational and entertaining.
