O.K., its Fall

WAIT!  I am NOT rushing it.  October caddis are hatching, the vine Maples are red, the elk are starting to bugle and the cutthroat are back in the river.

That means its fall.

The fishing is good.  Its raining, so the mushroom picking will be good soon.  I can’t tie flies fast enough.  My friend, these are the salad days.

Actually, lets say these are the bacon and beer days!  Sounds much better, and is more accurate.

I have some days open in the next week or so…let me know if you want to fish.  Otherwise I might hunt a bit, take a fabulous vacation with my family and maybe go catch a steelhead on a dry fly just for fun.

If you don’t get out in the next week or two you need to get ready for FALL SALMON.

Really, I mean it, get out your credit card and dial my number.  We have some dates left and you don’t want to miss this.

Nice to see a wild summer run!

I saw more unmarked summers this year than I have in the last 3 or 4. That fish looked to me like a mis-clip, but its hard to be sure.
