Fall kings and Coho show up in October, and run past the middle of November.  If you haven’t tried this, you should.

OP fall salmon take a little figuring.  Every year I end up catching some in gin clear low water on number 12 bead heads, and others on 6 inch long leaches in green/white glacial flows.

You will rarely find them down right easy…but often, once you get them dialed, they come one after another.

That’s the cool part, you figure them out like selective trout,  15 pound, chrome bright reel burning trout.

Over this years this has become one of my all time favorite seasons, I have a bunch of new trick gear for this year, and am tying the secret salmon flies as fast as I ever loving can.

This is yours heads up, if you want to try a shot at these fish this fall, give us a call or email soon!

You know how sometimes a guy will push a fish out towards a wide angle lens to make it look big? Other times you can’t really lift them.

Dry fly fishing, steelhead and sea run cutthroat

Prime time cutthroat starts September one, we can often mix this with a little steelhead and summer/fall salmon fishing.  Its a time of year famous for beautiful weather and enormous variety, most folks will book a couple of days at least so they can try more than one fishery.

It will be winter soon, might as well get one last trip in before you break out the electric socks.

    • Its really tricky to catch them well. Use a small (down to a #8) heavy fly and get it going pretty fast.
You have to let it get really deep, all the way to the bottom before you start your retrieve
