9 Feet

Nine feet of rain.

At least that’s what it felt like.  But however much it was it turns out it was exactly the right amount to wash away winter and bring on spring.

The yard is full of birds, the daffodils are blooming, the bee’s are coming in loaded with pollen, and if that’s not enough for you, the Quileute tribe caught a couple spring Chinook in the nets.

There were some awful nice fish in the river before the big water, and with a little luck a bunch of them have squirted up past the fishing deadlines to where they are safe.

Jesse, at Farbank, sent me a new Rio line just like the one I lost in the lower Hoh, so if you find the one I lost you can keep it.

Lining up a fancy new spey reel from Mark Shamburg, I’ll post a pic soon.
